Behind The Scenes: Interview With Vasanti’s Head Makeup Artist and National Trainer

Gargi Patel is Vasanti's Head Makeup Artist and National Trainer. She's amazingly talented, beautiful and radiates positivity.  Gargi has an amazing ability to make every woman look and feel beautiful and we're not the only ones that feel that way – see what television host Veronica Chail has to say about Gargi here.  Gargi shares with us her inspirations, favourite products and makeup artist tips below.

I chose to work in the beauty industry because.. ..I love colour and have been artistic all my life. l loved to paint and draw and for me, makeup allows me to do just that but in a much more fun and creative way!!
 

My favourite Vasanti product is… I don't just have one fav …. Can't I say I love everything equally?  No really, I personally couldn't leave my house without the following products on my face:  First I must absolutely wash my face with our Detox Cleanser and then exfoliate with Brighten Up! – my day just wouldn't feel right if I didn't do both. Afterwards my face feels so clean and refreshed and looks a million times brighter!!

I can't leave my house without the following products on my face! Eye Wonder – to treat my dark under eye circles and to moisturize my skin, Liquid Cover Up O2 – to immediately cover my dark circles, Face Base V4 - to set my concealer and to brighten my face.  Everest Blush – I just love this colour!! Cleopatra Liquid Eyeliner and Long Lash Mascara – this shapes my eyes and makes them really stand out. I finish with Flores Lipshine – My absolute favourite lip colour, makes me feel really girly and pretty:)
 

I'm inspired by…. Everyday life, I must say I've come a long way …. When I look back at what my life was and what it is now, I can't help but to feel a great sense of accomplishment.  I love everyone in my life, which in turn inspires me to be the best I can be, both to myself and the people around me. I feel so blessed for everything that I have.
 

My favourite place in the world is… Egypt … I haven't been there yet but hoping I'll make it there one day soon!!  I love everything about Egypt, the history, the architecture, the art and it's just so beautiful in pictures! Lol …  Egypt, I'll see you soon!
 

The three things I can't live without…. My Vasanti Products, lol! … No really, I'm completely being serious here:) My "Friends" DVD's – I have all 10 seasons and watch them religiously! …. And I have to say Nachos!! … Yes, I love Nachos …. I"ll eat them any which way they're given to me!!
 

My favourite beauty tip is…  I don't just have one … I let liquid concealers sit for about a minute before blending into the skin, by doing this you'll get amazing coverage and it will last all day!! … I use a spoon to curl my lashes; this was a tip that was shown to me by another makeup artist – absolutely love it and haven't used an eyelash curler on myself since!
