August’s Must Have Items

As August begins, we are thinking about fashion transition.  It's sad but true that autumn is coming in a few short weeks and we're planning on slowly transitioning our pieces into fall.  Consider investing in a leather bomber, it's a great layering piece that will take you from cool summer evenings, right into September.  We're also keeping an eye out for great work basics, signature jewelry pieces and some serious footwear.  These are the items we're coveting as summer begins to wind down.

Summer In The City Part 4

If all the Jackson family drama this week has left you longing for the good old days when it was about the music, you're in luck.  Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour by Cirque du Soleil celebrates the King of Pop with two shows at Toronto's Air Canada Centre.  From what we've heard, it's a must-see show. July 27-28 at the Air Canada Centre. www.ticketmaster.ca

The annual Hillside Festival is back at the Guelph Lake Conservation Area July 27-29. It's sold out but if you're lucky enough to have tickets you'll get to see an eclectic music mix including Arkells, Bahamas, Rich Aucoin, Doldrums, Kathleen Edwards, Micky Hart Band and so many more.  You can also check out the spoken word area, childrens's programming and drum & dance.  www.hillsidefestival.ca

If you or someone you love is a beer afficianado, you won't want to miss Toronto's Festival of Beer at Bandshell Park July 27-29. Visit the grilling tent, the world of beer pavilion and workshops from Canada's only teaching brewery.  www.beerfestival.ca

Garden Inspired Fashion

Inspiration can be found anywhere and we love finding it on our regular jaunts around the city.  On a weekend trip to visit some of the beautiful gardens around Toronto, we were totally inspired to put together this garden party inspired outfit.  We chose to pair this look with our Manhattan 24/7 Eye Colour Palette because the colours are so wearable and neutral, yet you still get that touch of pink that compliments without overpowering.  Where do you get your fashion inspiration?
