PRESS RELEASE: Vasanti Cosmetics to donate thousands of hand sanitizers and care packages to frontline workers.

April 18,2020, Toronto, Canada - Vasanti Cosmetics, a Toronto based skincare & beauty company has dedicated its resources to help frontline workers amidst the Coronavirus pandemic. They have shifted their cosmetic manufacturing to produce much needed hand sanitizers. They intend to have thousands of bottles ready to donate by April 25th. Although a small Canadian business they want to do their part to help in the fight against the pandemic. 

“Our beauty industry has truly stepped up and we admire what the bigger companies like Estee Lauder and Shisheido are doing to get larger quantities into the hands of frontline workers.  When we heard about all the shortages of hand sanitizers, we instantly sprang into action. Our manufacturing partner already had their Health Canada NPN and GMP certification. With one call, we both decided we would work together to get as many hand sanitizers out there as possible.  We unexpectedly faced a shortage of bottles, caps, pumps and raw materials. So what did it take to make this happen?  Many calls, co-ordination and teamwork at all hours with our packaging partners, raw material suppliers and manufacturer. Furthermore, Vasanti Cosmetics has launched a campaign called #WeSeeYou showcasing frontline health workers. Vasanti Cosmetics will also be donating travel size care packages valued at a total of $50,000 per month in the upcoming months as a small token of appreciation. The packages will consist of some of Vasanti’s bestselling skincare products such as BrightenUp! Exfoliator and the newly launched Aloe Cleanser.  They were inspired by the stories of health care workers experiencing irritated skin due to constant mask use.  They were also touched by frontline stories of having to relocate to reduce the risk of transferring COVID-19 to their own families.

Healthcare workers are being asked to extend the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) beyond the recommended guidelines due to critical shortages all across the country.
